I have a batch of 23.98p interviews shot on a Canon C300, and I have two stubborn clips that I cannot get to transcode to DNxHD36, despite the fact that they AMA link and play in my source monitor. About 25 others have transcoded without any trouble, but these two consistently give me seg. fault main thread errors and quit MC out to the finder within a few seconds. Here is what I have tried, and I still get error every time.
1. Rebooted CPU. Trashed MC State settings. (Error on transcode.)
2. Copied file-based media to different drive. (Error on transcode.)
3. Created new 23.98p project and re-AMA linked to files. (Error on transcode.)
4. Tried to export clips (since they play) as high-res Quicktimes. Error.
5. Tried to video mixdown clips to DNxHD 175. Error.
6. Updated to the latest Canon AMA plugins which were released 3 days ago. (Error on transcode.)
7. Tried to uninstall MC 6.5.3 to reninstall software, but the uninstaller unexpectedly quits every time upon launch. This of course gave me pause, but the fact that the other clips transcode makes me think this is a coincidence.
I'd like to get these clips into an Avid format and not edit with them AMA, but I'm running out of ideas. Thanks for any advice.
