Might need Marianne for this one, or one of you XDCAM experts out there :) I recently installed MC7 on a new Windows 8 laptop. I just installed the new Sony XDCAM-EX plugin that was made available at the beginning of August 2013 (and waited patiently for it as I do a lot of XDCAM cutting). Tried to AMA link to one of my older XDCAMEX volumes and got the exception "failed to get the sample temporal offset from the AMA Plug-in". The clips imported, and are visible with thumbnails in the bin, but I am unable to open the clips that I trimmed in Sony XDCAM clip browser in the source monitor. This is A BIG DEAL since many of my old Avid projects from the past three years include clips I trim in Sony XDCAM Clip Browser. They all show up and play in Sony's software, as well as Media Composer 4, 5 and 5.5. What's going on? Did something change after MC5.5 that I am unaware of? Is there a relatively simple fix for this? THANKS,
My system specs:
Media Composer 7, ASUS Core i7, 8GB RAM, Nvidia card, Windows 8 (fully updated)
Installed AMA Plugins: RED, XDCAM EX, P2, QuickTime
