Hi all,
I've got a bunch (read: a lot) of folders with AVCHD media in. Each folder contains .mxf files named from 0000.mxf onwards. All start with TC 00:00:00:00. Other than the path structure on the file system there is nothing to differentiate the various files.
I'm nervous about my AMA workflow with these files, as one wrong step and I'm going to get in a mess. Basically I was going to transcode everything to DNX120. I tried a test of this, dismounted the Avid media, and tried to relink back to the original AMA files. Let's just say it was messy! With this mess, assuming I lost the DNx master files, that would prelude me going back to the AMA master files which fills me with dread.
What I'd ideally like to do is assign the AMA files some form of unique ID before importing them into the Avid. Can anyone outline the ideal workflow here?
