How to set up Output Masks in Media Composer 7

Hi,

I thought I would share this quick guide on how to set up Outpo Masks in Media Composer 7, in your Composer Windows and DX output. (see pic - click on the picture to enlarge it)

1.  In your Project Window, go to Mask Margins...

2. Select a Preset or set up a Custom Margin.

3. Right Click your Source and/or Record Monitor and choose Target Mask... (No Mask, Gray Mask, Black Mask).These can be different (gray/black) for each Monitor.

4. From your Command Palette, drag the Output Mask Button under your Source and/or Record Monitor. Now you can easily Show/Hide the Mask for your Source or Record Monitor.

5. If you are running DX hardware, go to the Video Output Tool, and select the Output Mask to monitor the Output Mask via DX.
