Hi there,
I need some help to do something which, on the surface, sounds very simple yet has beaten me.
I need to edit some still images together for a client and thought it would look slightly more interesting if the images span around so that image B was on the 'back' of image A. I'm sure you get the idea. All very easy so far. However, things start to get more complicated when I want a background behind the spinning images.
This is how I have approached it so far: on video track 1 I have my backgound layer. (At the moment this is another still 'wallpaper' type image but could also be a video clip.)
On video track two I have the images that i want to spin. To these I have applied a picture in picture effect so they are not full screen. I then apply a spin transition between the two. Instead of the two images on video track 2 spinning nicely and the image on video track 1 staying still, its as if the spin transition is also being applied to video track 1 and the whole lot moves. The strange thing is,. when I apply a simple dissolve transition it all works perfectly. What is going on and how on earth can I get it so that the images on track 2 spin and the background image on track 1 doesn't?
Oh yes, I'm trying to do all of this on Media Composer 6.5 for Mac.
Any advice anyone can give me will be much appreciated.
