Just migrated a user over to MC 7. He loves it. We're all impressed. (Really!)
He noted a couple of minor issues. One is horizontal mouse scrolling (known issue). Another is selecting text in clip names.
Try this: select a clip in your bin, making the name editable. In 6.5, [Shift] + Up or Down arrow will select all the text. In 7, [Shift] + [Cmd] + Left or Right arrow selects all the text. If you switch the action with the other version, it thinks you're done editing the clip name. It's almost like clip names are treated as multi-ine text in 6.5, but as single line in 7. (Open something in TextEdit and try it. You'll see.)
Did Avid change the text input type for clips, or is this configurable? Or was it a move toward harmonizing with OS X Human Interface Guidelines? Thoughts?
