I'm from the audio side of post; but we installed Artist mix in the edit suited at my place of work and I'm just wondering about a question.
Currently to record automation you'll need to click record while the mixer tool is in Auto and then you can record your fader movements on the mixing desk.
But the artist mix has touch sensitive faders so can you not set media composer to start recording when an editor touches the fader as it works in Pro tools?
It's a bit pointless and not time saving if you've to open the mixer, press record, then to down to the actual desk so we're just wondering if record NEEDS to be clicked on the computer or if there's a workaround.

Would be great to just see a track coming up... Touch the music faders, and drop them down under Voice Over without having to navigate the media composer tools on screen.
