Hi all - so has anyone come across this before? Had a day from hell, lost a RAID (3TB gone - don't ask!!) so had to revert to the thankfully archived 5D files.
Used "Relink to AMA Files" to begin the repair process. Navigate to the new location and boom, I'm back in business. I transcoded the clips to DnX and the tried to re-link my sequences. No joy. After much head scratching I discover there is no timecode associated with any of my media.
Open new project and used media tool to examine new clips and yep - No Timecode!! So the clips play back fine there are just none of those pretty green numbers ticking away. Without this they will never re-link to anyting - true?
After even more mucking about, eventually got my original AMA'd clips to display timecode again but only by opening a new bin and starting from scratch with a brand new AMA link. With both old and new bins now open, the timecodes re-populated the original bin by "MAGIC"
So really glad I tested just one bin first before reloading and transcoding 10 days of 5D cards in what I thought was the correct way. Must be getting clever or more mis-trusting in my old age.
Anyone else had this or is it just the end result of a very bad day?
