This forum is "the place" to get answers to technical questions about Avid Visual Extensions(AVX) plug-in development.
AVX is a cross-platform software architecture designed to allow visual effect processing plug-in software components to be seamlessly integrated with host applications such as Media Composer and NewsCutter. The AVX environment consists of host provided utilities and an application programming interface (API) that handles the flow of image data, the passing of parameters and metadata, and the communication necessary to enable plug-in software components to be included in the host application’s user interface or to invoke their own user interface.
The AVX2 architecture is supported on Windows and Macintosh OS X.
