Hi, I am very new to Avid. I'm coming from Premiere Pro.
I have a single clip in my timeline that was brought into avid using AMA. In the timeline the clip drops frames. I have tried rendering in/out. I have tried adding a mask on a V2 track and using the "Render Effect" button when the mask is selected. Nothing seems to make a difference. Frames are still dropped. It even drops frames in the "draft" or "best settings" playback settings. I have a Macbook Pro with 16gigs of RAM and a quad-core processor. Is there a way to make sure AVID is utilizing these to a good potential? In premiere pro rendering clips in the timeline and making sure PP used a specified amount of RAM was simple to configure. Oh poor me I'm such a PP whore aren't I. Thanks in advance for the feedback.
