Hi there. I'm a newbie of sorts. I've been doing a lot of research these last few days on how to relink files but I'm not having any luck. I've moved a few projects over to a new drive without any issues but for some reason my largest project is almost entirely off-line. I've done the basic troubleshooting (Eg. Avid Media Files are on root drive, name hasn't changed, deleted the MM database files from each numbered folder, etc.) but nothing's relinked.
This is what I know - under the Drive column in the bins my clips are still listed as reading from the old drive. Somehow through the confused maze of trying to relink, two bins relinked, and they are reading from the new drive. But only them - I've been at this for a few days and of course I'm in so deep now that I can't for the life of me figure out what I did to switch that drive setting in those bins. On the plus side, I'm encouraged because now it's evident that it's possiible...
Anyways I would really appreciate someone who is patient walking me through this. I've already been through many of the forum posts and I know I'm on the right track but I seem to be missing one little step. I am not your average techie, I'm one of those creative aries types whose mind is mush after all this research but hopefully, as Einstein said, if I stay with this problem long enough I can solve it. I just need a little help. And patience.
