Hello all,
I am trying to do a transcode in the background, but whenever I do so I get an error message which states "The media services engine was unable to make a connection." I am not sure what I am doing wrong. The Avid background services are running, and normal transcodes not run in the background work fine. Does anyone know what causes this error message and how to fix it? I hope this is not too vague. I have been researching all night how to fix this problem, but unfortunately have come up dry.
I am running Avid MC 7.0.2 on OS X 10.9. I know 7.0.2 is not officially supported on OS X 10.9, but I had this same issue on 10.8.
Please let me know if I can provide any other helpful information.
