I inadvertently deleted some of my XDCam EX video files when cleaning up the computer using the Media Tool. I had used Sony Clip Browser to create AAF sequences and write the video file media into the Avid Media Files/MXF/3 folder on one of my harddrives. So, now the media is gone - offline. However, I remade the AAF sequences and the video/audio file media as previously from the original XDCam EX files using clip Browser. Sony Clip Browser renames the video/audio files with a randomized filename and an mxf extender. I used the "Get Info" from the offline media to rename the new files with the old name. The new video files' lengths, TC, duration, media file size, etc. all match the original offline-deleted file. However, I cannot relink to the new media files. I have tried every relink setting but nothing works. Anyone have any ideas?
BTW, I now use the MXF export from the Sony Clip Browser. No more AAF's with linked media. They show up in the Media Tool with a bizarre name - Sony Voyager. So, it is difficult to know what file it is.
