IP Camera for Live Demonstration Event?

Looking for some help with setting up a very simple, live, single camera feed to a MacBook Pro and onto a 50" screen for an audience demonstration event for cars.

The plan is to mount a small camera (so I'm thinking an IP camera, like a security cam) inside the engine compartment and send the live video feed into the next room via ethernet or preferable, over wireless-N (we have an Airport Express for a dedicated, offline network).

It really doesn't have to be too fancy, but it does need to be HD (720 minimum), colour and as close to full frame rate as possible (25fps) and the H264 compression needs to be of a high enough quality that it will present well on a 50" screen.

Can anyone recomend a suitable IP camera which is more suited to this type of live production application. Don't need all the motion detection stuff, just an always on IP feed of a good quality image. Don't want to spend more than 2 or 3 hundred piunds if possible.

For the software, I was thinking this could be VLC or something similar? Any thoughts?

I have done some tests with an iPhone and AirBeam which was suprisingly good, but the phone became very hot and I got the feeling that prolonged use of this could well damage it. Plus the video image could do with being a little better quality compression wise.

Many thanks
