I currently have an outdated version of Avid. I'm waiting for my new mac pro to arrive and I'll be downloading the current version of Avid. I'm editing my first feature. I'll be using a 4TB Gdrive with 1 thunderbolt and 1 USB 3.0 port. I know there are many options for drives and back up but sometimes you have to work with what you got. My question is how should I go about backing the drive up? Does Avid allow you to have 2 drives going and it can write to both drives simultaneously? Can I have another gdrive and link them together so whatever is written on drive 1 will be written to drive 2? I thought I read somewhere that wouldn't work. Or do I have to have an edit session on 1 drive and when I'm done for the day copy it to drive 2? I know gdrive makes a 8TB graid but I need the usb 3.0 and the thunderbolt which it doesn't have and I prefer to not have both drives together. I like keeping them seperate. Thanks!
