Hello,
I am using Media Composer v7.0.3 with Symphony option and a Nitris DX on Mac OS X v10.7.5. This is a MacPro4,1 (Nehalem, 2009) with 2x dual-core 2.93 GHz processors and 16 GB of RAM.
I have received some files from an unknown camera that I cannot successfully import into a bin. I think it was an ARRI camera. More on my hunch in a moment. Here is the file hierarchy I received.
What I have been trying to do is option-drag the CLIPS001 folder into a bin. When I do this, Media Composer prompts me with this error message.
Exception: std::exception, what:"Segmentation fault" in thread "MVP_Host_Processing", at address 0x0
I think these files came from an ARRI camera because if I remove the MVP_MSP_ARRI_MXF file out of the AMA plug-ins, I get a less severe error stating that files cannot be linked.
Does anyone know what the error in the screenshot above really means? Does anyone know which ARRI camera generates this file hierarchy? I downloaded and installed the latest ARRI AMA plug-in and that did not make a difference. Any guidance is appreciated.
Thanks for reading!
