adding a monitor port with caldigit thunderbolt station

hi folks,

i am using a 17" macbook pro (the last of its kind) with lion

(latest version) and am successfully using it for mobile editing

with mc 7.0.3. My biggest limitation though is that it only

has 1 thunderbolt port and that both external video cards i own

(aja t-tap or blackmagic extreme) are always at the end of my chain,

so that i can EITHER use this or a 2nd display.

I was wondering if i could add this device to the thunderbolt chain:

in order to add an extra monitor port

(it's hdmi but i could convert it to dvi).

has anyone any experience running this hub

in combination with the t-tap,

the blackmagic extreme and media composer?

i wonder if they get along, and it would be cool,

because it would be a much cheaper upgrade than an Aja xT or

a retina macbook pro with 2 thunderbolt ports.
