Avid Media Composer v5.5.5 and Avid Symphony v5.5.5 updates have been released on the Download Center (password and login are required to access the Download Center).
Who is Eligible:
Customers running v5.5.x are eligible to download and install the updates.
OS support:
v5.5.5 is supported on 10.6.7 and 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) and 10.7.0, 10.7.3 and 10.7.5(Lion).
Fixes in v5.5.5:
There are over 10 fixes in this release so customers on 5.5.x are strongly encouraged to upgrade.
End of Support Notification:
This is the final planned maintenance release for the v5.5.x code base. End-of-support was announced in June 2013. Support renewals will be available until March 31, 2014. The final date for technical support for v5.5.x and earlier versions of the editing family will be March 31, 2015.

Note that Mac releases are always full installers, so be sure to uninstall any previous version before uinstalling v5.5.5.
