Just wanted to report a huge problem.
While editing a music video, I named the various tracks (per camera shot), stacking the various takes in sync with the song. Then, I wanted to move the entire track up to the top (from somewhere in the middle) so I grabbed the video layer (formerly numbered, like V7) and CTRL-dragged four layers up to the top because they weren't important takes, just shots I wanted to pepper in later. So, it's the four layers on the very top... two open layers, then the 'stack'. I was viewing it down from the open area. However...
Then, I made a cut in the stack, to 'see' one of the bottom layers. The viewer track couldn't see the 'through' the layers to the bottom one that was uncovered, it was seeing the layers that were above it - instead of down to the layer that was revealed. It was being blocked by the layers at the top, which were out of the way... but the Avid still thought they were in the old position and, since there wasn't a 'cut' in them, Avid sees them instead of the open column which should reveal the bottom layer.
Thought I'd pass that along. Super odd and annoying... especially since, for the life of me, I can't find where the Attic is in this latest version, don't see it under the Documents/Avid, etc.
