Hey! Avid released two new versions of their existing software today. Let’s just say that users of version 6 AND version 6.5 are gonna be REALLY happy. (As well as Newscutter users of v10 and 10.5).
1.) Avid Media Composer 6.0.4 (Mac and PC), Symphony 6.0.4 (Mac and PC) and NewsCutter 10.0.4 (PC) updates are now on the Download Center (password and login are required).
Who is Eligible:
Customers running 6.0.x/10.0.x are eligible to download and install the updates.
Fixes in 6.0.4/10.0.4:
There are TONS of fixes in this release - well over a 100 fixes so customers on 6.0.x/10.0.x should be encourage to upgrade.
Important v7/v11 information!
The 6.0.4/10.0.4 or 6.5.3/10.5.3 releases are recommended for those customers who will need to exchange bins and projects created in v7/v11.

Customers should also be encouraged to download and scan the ReadMe so they know what is fixed.

Master Account Updated:
Customers may download these updates from the Avid Download Center (login and password required). The Media Composer 6.5, Symphony 6.5, and NewsCutter 10.5 installers in Avid Master Accounts will also be updated to full installers of these updated versions (for previous and future purchases.)
