Avid Media Composer v6.5.3 and Avid Symphony v6.5.3 updates have been released on the Download Center (password and login are required to access the Download Center).
Who is Eligible:
Customers running v6.5.x are eligible to download and install the updates.
OS Support:
v6.5.3 supports OS 10.7.4 and 10.7.5 (Lion); 10.8.2 and 10.8.3 (Mountain Lion).
Fixes in v6.5.3:
There are well over a 100 fixes in this release so customers on 6.5.x/10.5.x are strongly encouraged to upgrade.
Important v7/v11 information!
The v6.5.3 releases are recommended for those customers who will need to exchange bins and projects created in the soon-to-be-released Media Composer v7.

Note that Mac releases are always full installers, so be sure to uninstall any previous version before uinstalling v6.5.3
