I was trouble shooting another Unity issue this morning and near the end of my session I was tying up loose ends and like a bone head, wasnt pay attention.
I have a couple of inactive chassis, and I was taking them offline. I deleted the Allocation Groups in the Administration Tool to start the process. I knew I should have stopped the mananger to go into the Setup Manager to then turn those EMPTY drives into RAW drives. For some reason I rebooted and loged in to the Setup Manager and started making thos drives RAW and then realized that the File Manager had restarted because of the reboot. Now thos disks show up as missing even though they are attached.
I had to set the File Manager to start with that many drives missing in order to keep the Unity working today since I can still connect from the clients and I need it running.
My biggest question is how I remove the "missing" drives now from the Setup Manager. Again, those drives are empty so they are not needed, the file manager starts but I cant connect to Administration Manager now either, though i think that will get resolved once I remove all the "missing" drives.
