I'm in the process of installing MC 6.0.1 on a completely new computer. No Avid product has ever been installed on it. I've downloaded the Readme for 6.0.1 and have been working my way through it. Under "Setting up the NVIDIA Card" on page 24 it says to set Desktop to Video Editing Mode by:
1. Right-click the Desktop, and select Nvidia Control Panel.
2. In the menu bar, select Desktop. Enable Desktop>Video Editing Mode.
3. Click Apply.
But when I choose the Video Editing Mode, the check box does not activate and the Apply button does not appear. A search of this forum shows that at least two other users have had this problem, but I haven't been able to locate a solution.
Again, this is a completely clean OS. MC hasn't even been installed yet. I'm first going through the Readme to set up the drivers and supporting programs properly.
