I've been searching all over the internet to try and figure out what the best HD monitoring for MC6.5 over thunderbolt is for a mac but haven't gotten a great handle on what's usable, stable or even functional.
I've been using the Matrox MXO2 mini with MC5.5 on a 2011 iMac with little issue but now have just bought a new iMac i7 with 32gigs ram and I'd like to utilize the 64bit capability of MC6.0 or 6.5. All I've read is that the Matrox has major problems with lagging in trim mode and I know this will annoy me to no end.
Has anyone used the Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle or Extreme on 6.0 or 6.5 with any success? Is this any better than the Motu HD Express?
I know the Aja IO Express seems like the best bet but for what I need (primarily HD monitoring on a client monitor) and at double the price it seems like overkill.
Any recommendations or resources anyone knows of would be much appreciated. I can alway do the two external monitor solution but would rather stay away as I've had issues with frame accuracy in the past.
