Hi guys,
I'm in the process of setting up a new suite with Media Composer 5.5.3.6, but I'm having trouble getting the graphics card to work properly...
The suite is a HP z820 which has been configured to work as an editing machine with Windows 7 (64bit). The graphics card is an Nvidia Quadro 4000... The issue I'm having is that Avid is asking for a specific driver for this card (259.77) and try as I might, I can't get this driver to install properly!
When I install this particular driver, using the driver installation package installed with Avid on the C drive, the card appears as a generic 'VGA compatible video controller' in device manager. Sometimes it will appear as a Quadro 4000 but it will say that there's a problem with the software so the device isn't using any resources. The actual driver installation process appears to work okay - no error messages or anything like that. I get the same problem with both the driver installed with Avid and also with a package downloaded from Nvidia's website.
Has anyone had any similar issues to this, and if so, did you manage to fix it?
If there's any other info I can provide that can help with this then please let me know!
