And by successful, I mean being able to earn a living as an editor.
I've always thought that editing is the most important part of creating a story, whether it's a movie, TV show, or a commercial.
I've been learning what I can about Avid through online tutorials, and I would like to learn as much as possible.
I would love to make editing a career. So far, Avid is the only editing program that I have used.
I know that there is a lot of competition in any entertainment related job, and any advice would be very helpful.
I have a few questions to start off with, I'll probably have more to come.
Did you go to school for editing, or are you mostly self taught?
What are some good schools to consider?
How did you get your foot in the door?
Any other info or advice?
Thanks!
Steve
