Red epic Avid Media Composer 6.5 AMA plugin not installling.

Hi

I have Avid Media Composer 6.5 and I am trying to AMA link r3d EPIC files. I downloaded the RED AMA 1.9 Mac plugin but it has no extension on it, so I cannot install it. I write .pkg at the end, then it works, I can see the MVP_MSP_REDR3D.avx in my AVX2_Plug-ins folder in the finder, but when I go to the Avid Console, it says it is not installed.

The questions are: Can I link to AMA Epic files? How? Why is the plugin not working?
