Problem to install AMA Plug-ins - MP4 files

Hi,

I'm having a problem with AMA plug-ins. I have a footage recorded with Sony PMW-F3, file format MP4 and would like to edit it as AMA files.

I can't install the AMA plug-ins in my Avid Media Composer 6.5. Does anyone know what the reason could be?

I can't either import the MP4 files so need to convert them (in the case I won't be able to instal the plug-ins), do you know a good software to convert them without lose quality? I've tried with MPEG Streamclip but doesn't import MP4.
