Hello. I have a couple of Red R3D files that a friend sent me so I could test my Red/AMA workflow. I am on Symphony 6 and I have the newest AMA Red plug-ins installed (I just installed after finding that advice on the Avid Forums). However, I can't get the files into the system. The file structure I have is:
Media drive -> "Red Footage" -> "A001_C025_1204X3.RDC"... and within that folder I have 5 files. 4 are similarly named QT .mov files of only 14kb each, and the 650mb R3D file.
When I link to AMA Volume, AMA brings in the 4 tiny QT files which are just black. (I haven't shot on Red before... this is a friend's footage so I'm not sure what those are, or if the file structure is important and/or correct). When I try to link to AMA File and select the R3D file, Avid says it can't link and I need to get the newest AMA Plug-ins (which I have just installed).
I'm kinda stumped. I've played the R3D file with Redcine-X Pro (and exported to DNxHD 1080p successfully that way), but I'd like to figure out why the AMA isn't working.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Ryan.
