Video quality loss on import

I apologize if this is redundant--I've searched the forums for a few hours for related posts, and haven't come up with anything.

My footage is incurring video noise after import, on every resolution (DNxHD 175, MXP 1:1, J2k 1080p, etc). Not terrible, but definitely noticeable. It's H.264 1080p from a DSLR.

My monitor is set to full green.

This noise is clearly visible in the monitor when compared side by side to a Quicktime Player playing the original .mov files.

It is also visible after export (using Avid DNxHD Codec at 1080p/DNxHD 175) so I'm deducing that the loss is occuring in the import to MXP.

Is this loss intrinsic to the import conversion? Anyone have any ideas for a solution?
