Hi all, apologies if this has been asked before and please direct me to the right place if you have a solution.
Here's our problem: We have two HP Z820's, about a month old: Xeon 2.8ghz CPU x2, Quadro 4000, 16GB Ram, 256GB SSD for System (not avid specced, we know) and 2x 3tb drives for video. We run 6.5.2 MC and on both machines we are having an issue where we create a title in marquee and all is well, however, intermittently, after we upgrade the title to 3D warp we cannot go back to edit the original title.
We usually only need to promote if we want to do an avid move on a still title and it's usually just z rotation or something basic. We would rather make a small animated adjustment in avid then render out an entire Marquee animation, it just takes too long.
Of course, if Avid put some more time in to Marquee and made it smarter (multi-threaded rendering, turning off motion blur when the animation was still, etc), we could do all our title tweaking there, but it doesn't look like they are ever going to make significant changes to Marquee. I checked the bug repair list on the latest patch and there seems to be no addressing of this issue which is why I haven't installed it.
So yeah, to sum up: We Can't edit marquee titles after 3d promotion.
