Title tool...this has got to be easy...

Greetings!

Using the plain old title tool...I know how to step in to add video to the fill track of the title text, no problem.  

What I'm trying to do is zoom through the text (have the text get larger and larger until it's off screen) and into the video layer/fill track below.  Problem is that the video layer gets larger along with the text as I zoom through the text.

Is this not possible with the plain old title tool?  Should I be trying Marquee?  This must be easy!
 
Can't figure it out, and unable to find a tutorial/explanation anywhere.
