Hi everyone.
I get the following error when I try to consolidate AVCHD clips in order to edit the sound in pro tools.
Some of the items selected for consolidate contained foreign compression types, which could not be consolidated. See the console for details. To consolidate these clips, please transcode them to a native compression type first.
Console output.
[ Plugin Name = AVCHD MSP Plug-In Avid Technology, Inc. Version = 1.3 ] processed F:\263\MEDIA\2221\PRIVATE\AVCHD\BDMV\STREAM\00000.MTS DIDDescriptor::GetAAFProperties() - Unable to map AAF Compression to MC Compression. DIDDescriptor::GetAAFProperties() - Unable to map AAF Compression to MC Compression. MSMRescan() took: 0.502000s The clip 00000 was skipped during the Consolidate operation because it is of a foreign compression type.
Is there anyway to get around this? E.g. a plugin or codec? Or do I have to transcode the audio first?
Thanks
