I purchased the New Yearly Subscription of Pro Tools and it took away my purchase of Pro Tools 10. I still need access to Pro Tools 10 on my old system because I can't upgrade it to the newest version. How can I get my authorization back for Pro Tools 10 on iLok for old system?

Render Presets are totally random
Hi,
I am using presets for export in avid.
All my presets are totally mixed up randomly.
I select a preset and suddenly it has totally different settings..
For example I create a preset called Wave and just want to export audio.
The next time I select this preset in the export window, I get a MOV-File.
Its a totally different setting. And that is the problem with ALL my presets.
It seems like they are completely mixed up every time I select them.
I tried to overwrite them but that doesnt do anything..
Filter Search Results by Growing File - Cloud UX
Hi all;
I'm currently working in a busy new News studio, and am having to regularly troubleshoot problems I'm having with our ingest server (Woody Live in this instance).
Before production properly kicked off, it was often enough to just go to the search app in Cloud UX and filter media brought in to the system in the last hour, and I could quite easily spot the growing file icons indicating ongoing captures.
Now production is fully underway however, it's becoming increasing difficult to spot growing files in the mass of media that's coming in.
So my question is, is there an easy way to filter search lists based on growing file status?
I've had a bit of a poke around, but couldn't see anything obvious.

Export bin of sequence names to a spreadsheet
Hi all,
I've read various posts about things like this but not quite what I need to do today. I have lots of labelled sequences organised into bins by subject and what I want to do is get the names, and ideally the durations, into a spreadsheet.
TAB would do with clips, is there a workaround for sequences?

Avid Control App on MC | First

I am running Media Composer | First 2021.5.0 on an iMac 2015 under Mac OS X Catalina 10.15.7 and would like to trial the Avid Control app 2020.11.1.0 on an iPad 7th Generation in conjunction with the Media Composer software.
I’m wondering if this is a supported combination because I find that when I go to enable EUCON in the Controller Settings preferences, Media Composer immediately crashes.
My installation flow is as follows:
Download and install MC | F 2021.5.0 from my Avid account and run the installer. MC runs existing short projects fine at this stage.
Download EUCON Workstation Unified Install 2020.11.1 from my Avid account and run the installer for S1/S3/Dock/Control/Artist. EuController appears to be running normally, and its interface is accessible from the Mac menu bar.
Download Avid Control 2020.11.1.0 from the App Store. This appears to run perfectly well under iOS 14.6 and the device name “Avid Control-2311” is allocated to the iPad.
In EuControl settings, add the iPad device “Avid Control-2311” from All Surfaces to My Surfaces. With the Mac and iPad added to the same WiFi network, EuControl appears in green under Settings>General on the iPad app, and indeed basic Mac desktop functions can be controlled from the Avid Control Soft Keys, leading me to believe that all is well with the communication between Avid Control on the iPad and EuControl on the Mac.
However, when I boot Media Composer and click on Preferences>User>Controller Settings, I can select EUCON as an option, but as soon as I click on “OK” the Media Composer software crashes fatally. Media Composer can be restarted subsequently without any apparent issues, but again crashes immediately if I try to enable EUCON.
Would appreciate any advice or guidance on whether this is indeed a supported application on the latest version of Media Composer | First; and if it is, what I might be doing wrong during the installation.

Script Sync and Retakes
Hi everyone,
I'm an assitant editor from Germany and fairly new to script sync. We sometimes have retakes shot within one take. So my second assistant creates two subclips so that I'm able to script sync the retake also. Unfortunately when I drop the takes and retakes subclips into the script the reference to the retake supclip won't work. It won't load into the source monitor and the script sync option is not available.
I hope it's clear what I mean. Is there someone familiar with this problem who can help?

What drives or Raid to buy?
I am a video artist, working since the early days of 1/2" open-reel tape through 1", D-2, Beta, etc. Still using HD but contemplating the move to 4K. I have an accumulation of 16 or more hard drives over many years, prefer Glyph. All earlier work has been digitized onto three large Glyph drives. My archivist suggests we go to a Synology Raid system using Seagate 10TB Ironwolf drives. This preference is based on editing in Adobee Premier Pro, which I do not use. Avid MC Ultimate here, always been on Avid MC. Can someone with expertise in this please advise me which way to go? It is urgent.

Audio mixer/controller hardware recommendations
Hello all,
The short version: I would be grateful for any hardware recommendations for an audio interface/mixer/monitor controller that can take a 3.5 mm or USB feed from my workstation and send it out to stereo reference monitor speakers (ideally through XLR), and also provide a 1/4” headphone port on the desk.
The longer version: I’m looking to upgrade to studio monitor speakers. My old Logitech computer speakers connected via the 3.5 mm port from the motherboard audio, and as such I never acquired an audio interface, audio mixer, or monitor controller. So I would seem to need one of those three options in order to feed the speakers via XLR connections, operating under the (possibly mistaken) assumption that XLR connections are slightly preferred to TRS 1/4”, and to also have a 1/4” headphone port on the desk. I have no external hardware accelerators for picture, just the machine’s GPU.
The audio ports on my workstation seem to consist of that 3.5 mm port and USB 2.0/3.0 (there is an unused HDMI port on the GPU but I think it may complicate matters in sending video and audio from that to the more expensive studio controllers I see with HDMI, or to an audio receiver, which then feeds the video back to one of my displays).
Any thoughts on these questions would be very helpful:
1) Analog vs. Digital: Regarding USB vs. analog (3.5 mm), I had thought that USB might be preferred for reasons of digital fidelity and the decreased chance of introducing any attenuation, hum, etc. However, since USB is a software-related solution and introduces the question of drivers, the odds would seem to increase that the device may not cooperate with Avid. Are these indeed the tradeoffs? Or do most USB interfaces/mixers work well with Avid?
2) For good and affordable USB devices: I was looking at the Yamaha MG10XU or Mackie ProFX3 (6 channel) mixers. The Motu M2 seems to be well-regarded but would only offer TRS outputs I believe (same with the Mackie Big Knob Studio Controller and Interface). Does anyone have a recommendation on USB solutions that work well with Avid?
3) For a purely analog solution: I saw the Palmer Monicon recommended in these forums, and the Palmer Monicon L would add the headphone port I need. Does anyone have any experience with the Monicon L, or recommend another analog solution?
4) For the reference monitor speakers themselves, I was leaning toward Yamaha HS7 for their supposed unflattering accuracy, but recently saw that the JBL 305P or 306P MKII (the successor to the seemingly popular LSR305) may be better regarded. Does anyone have any recommendations on reference monitors in this price range? ($400-700 for a pair)

I am creating a workflow to convert 23,976p masters to deliver them in 25p by speeding up the playback rate, in a file based procress.
Let's say I have a 23,976 MXF file : by opening a 25p project, linking the 23,976 file in it and selecting «Project's FPS (25.000)» for the «Playback Frame Rate» in the «Playback Rates» of the «Source Settings», I get the frame rate needed. Now, how can I precisly correct the pitch shift of the audio using «Pitch Shifft Legacy» or «Pitch II» in the AUDIO SUITE tool?
If I am not mistaken, audio is played at 104,2709376042709 % (or 1,042709376042709 faster) : what is the pitch shift correction for that?
processor not fast enough

I am editing a sequencing in which I am starting to chroma key some background and now showing some yellow and red lines on the timeline indicating my processor is not fast enough. Is there a fix to this or do I literally need a faster processor. Here is shot of my specs.

Got this error after hitting play on some proxy clips that I brought in (via dropping the .mdb file into my bin).

Clips with SLOMO play fine (I'm guessing because there was no sound recorded)
Anyone know why or how to fix? How do I "turn off monitoring"? How do I "re-edit references to the clip"?

2021.5 - can't import or link. WTH
Trying to import graphics into a 1080p 25fps project (2021.5).
Graphics are AE outputs with alpha (DNxHD 120 Quicktime MOVs). Same process/settings used for years now with no problem.
File-Input-Import Media. Check options, all good. Select file, click open, then nothing. Not even an error message.
Tried linking instead - Plug-in column contains "Can't be linked".
Re-output using DNxHR instead, same result. File name has no wierd characters, so not that.
Tried a file from a few months ago that did work, same: won't import, cant be linked.
Uninstalled MC, installed 2020.12.2. Same result.
Edit suite across the hall, running 2021.5 on a Z840, WORKS FINE

MC window behind Apple dock
Since updating to 2021.5 Avid now opens behind my 'always on' Apple dock (see attached screenshot for clarifcation) and I have to always manually resize the workspace to leave space at the bottom of the screen for the dock.
Avid used to always open and sit above the dock but for whatever reason something has changed and I can't figure out how to auto open with space for the dock. Saving workspace settings after resizing the window doesn't seem to work. I'm sure there's a simple fix, but I can't seem to find it - can anyone help me out? Thanks!
