I have been trying to remove Avid Media Composer (Academic version) from my Mac Book Pro OS X 10.6.8 and move to newer Mac Book Pro OS X v10.8.3. The problem is everytime I try to access the AMC Program I get the following error message: "Avid Media Composer cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure AMC works with this version of Mac OS X. You may need to reinstall the application ..." What is the solution? Also Once I can acces the program once again it is my understanding that I must de-activate from Mac Book Pro (a), before installing on Mac Book Pro (b). Is it necessary that I comunicate with Avid Support Staff regarding this. Or can I just de-activate from within the software program?
