MP4 files incl. shoot date, but Avid MXF files just show import date. Fix?

Hi there,

Is there a way for me to tell Avid to include the shoot date information, when it imports a Sony EX camera's MP4 files?

I'd love to see, in my bins, the shoot date—it would help me organize things, especially this time when I'm ediiting footage that someone else shot.

In Bin columns, I just selected 'Shoot Date', and the column is now there, but it's blank.  (Meanwhile, I've unchecked the 'Creation Date', because it's just the day I imported everything, which is meaningless to me).

Even when I select a shot and hit Get Info, I don't see a Shoot Date.

Am I missing a setting somewhere in Import settings or instructions?
