Serious MC Mac 7.0.3 bug

I'm sure there is a place for reporting bugs but I can't find it. OK - I teach Media Composer and I need to connect my MacBook Pro to a projector in the training rooms. With every version I've used at my university from 5.x up to 7.0.2, I can clone the MacBook desktop and the projector so that I can work easily on the MBP keyboard and screen and not get a crick in my neck trying to see the screen on the wall. With 7.0.3, I can get to the 'Select Project' window but as soon as I select a project and user profile, Media Composer displays the 'A serious error has occured' message and exits. I can tell this is going to happen now because the small composer window that sits top left of the screen until a project and user profile are selected is mostly off screen. I've done the usual - new project, new user, trashed MCState etc.

If I run MC on the MBP without a projector, all is good. If I run MC with the projector connected but the screens NOT cloned, all is good (but it is a pain to work this way). In my office I run with an Apple Cinema display connected but with the MBP lid shut and an external keyboard. This works fine. If I open the MBP lid and clone the MBP desktop and the external monitor, the system exits as described. I reinstalled 7.0.2 and the problem went away but I'd like to keep 7.0.3.

This is not on Mavericks, but on 10.8.5 (which is supposedly supported with this release).

Fix, please, or helpful comments welcomed.
