How do you remove dead space at the beginning of session in Pro Tools 11?

I have a gray area at the beginning of my session that I can't seem to get rid of.  It's before the session actually starts at 0:00 at bar 1.  It's not negative time. I've tried everything I could think of but can't figure out how to get rid of it.
